I thought I posted a response to this thread, but it's not showing. Some other support thread is probably confusing people now talking about custom buttons..
Anyways, the original link to the Facebook Wiki I posted above did show a selection of buttons you could use on your page. However, that page now redirects to their new Graph API version of the login button page which doesn't show that. Previously, there was no way to customize the text of the button, now there is. So it seems like they've removed the additional button types and replaced with a standard button look.. but one that can be customized with your own text and sizes. Sorry for the bad news.
The Welcome text is in the /languages/en-GB/en-gb.mod_jfbclogin.ini file. The username always shows (can tell you how to disable that in the module), but the "Welcome" greeting is configurable.
I'll investigate the Logout placement in a bit. I'd recommend trying out Firebug for Firefox, which is what I used to figure out the placement for the login button:
