change facebook connect buttons

I thought I posted a response to this thread, but it's not showing. Some other support thread is probably confusing people now talking about custom buttons..

Anyways, the original link to the Facebook Wiki I posted above did show a selection of buttons you could use on your page. However, that page now redirects to their new Graph API version of the login button page which doesn't show that. Previously, there was no way to customize the text of the button, now there is. So it seems like they've removed the additional button types and replaced with a standard button look.. but one that can be customized with your own text and sizes. Sorry for the bad news.

The Welcome text is in the /languages/en-GB/en-gb.mod_jfbclogin.ini file. The username always shows (can tell you how to disable that in the module), but the "Welcome" greeting is configurable.

I'll investigate the Logout placement in a bit. I'd recommend trying out Firebug for Firefox, which is what I used to figure out the placement for the login button:

We'll try to get you something later this week or weekend. Templating issues aren't directly related to JFBConnect so we don't consider this a high priority, but would like to help when we get a chance. We're currently focusing on bug-fixes for the 3.0 release and support requests directly related to the component.

Hopefully you have a designer you can talk to about the site, as these are basic CSS styling issues. If not, like I said, we'll try to get you a response once things settle down with the current release.

JFBConnect 3.0RC2 fixes the logout issue. There's now a setting in the component to select whether logging out forces you out of Facebook and Joomla or just Joomla. Please upgrade to that release. This is the first time you've mentioned that this is a problem, or I would have mentioned this solution sooner.
