I received an e-mail from source cost stating that
"Login Updates Required by October
JFBConnect v4.0 implements changes to the authentication process (OAuth2) that will be required by Facebook in October. If you're using the login and registration features of JFBConnect, you'll need to move to 4.0 as soon as possible. After October 1st, the old login functionality will no longer work on your site."

I'm not sure if I have the 4.0 version, how can I tell this? The zip file I use is labeled " j1.5v3.2.1.tar.gz. Is this what I need to look at?

Also, how do I move to 4.0? I'm a bit of a novice and I'm not sure what to do.

To upgrade, you simply need to download the latest version from the "My Subscriptions" area, and install it like a new extension. There are a lot of new settings and features since v3.2, which it sounds like you were using, but everything should continue working how it was.

You can see the version you're using in the JFBConnect Overview page in the admin area. Look for "Installed Version".

Just a note, like every extension or change to your site, we recommend always making a backup first. Shouldn't be necessary, but always the safe thing to do "just in case."
