hello,
since upgrading my login configuration is no longer working.
I set the login module to only be shown to registered users to give a joomla user the possibility to connect with facebook.
now the output in frontend is not what I configured in the backend (see picture). Also messages are shown in english while I use a german language file..... what's wrong here?

For the language file, depending on what version you upgraded from, you may need to update/modify your language files. With the 3.2/3.3 releases, we had unified the Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 1.6 strings to be the same, which caused changing most of them. Either way, I'd check the german language file for both the component (xx_YY.com_jfbconnect.ini) and the login module (xx_YY.mod_jfbclogin.ini) against the English version to see if there are any strings missing. Sometimes on upgrades, we've seen that language files don't get overridden properly. It's also possible we missed a few strings when converting. If so, please feel free to contribute any language strings back to use for inclusion in the next release.

As for the parameters not working, I'm honestly not sure. Can you try some of the other parameters, like the "Show Powered By" link to see if that properly appears? Let us know, but there were no changes in 3.4 (that I can think of) that cause the logout button to always show.

Thanks,
Alex

hey alex,
I already checked the language file and it is correct but not showing. But of course that's not the main problem.
It looks like some configurations don't change anything - for example the greeting message is always shown, the logout button is always shown...
powered by link configuration is working (just tested). really strange, never seen something like this ^^

Definitely strange. Do you have any template overrides setup for the login module?

Either way, if you want us to get in and take a look, we gladly will. Please just PM us the details again.

Thanks,
Alex

sent you a mail with my site details - but in the meantime I already fixed it. Your hint with the override was right - a new plugin I purchased automatically created this, after disabling everything looks fine now. thanks again!
