Topic-icon JFBConnect not importing profile pic into Jomsocial

Hey Everyone,

I just purchased the JFBconnect component and it seems to be working great except for importing facebook profile pics. It doesn't seem to be updating JomSocial. Accounts imported using the Fconnect tool seems to maintain the default JomSocial profile image. Can someone guide me in the right direction?

Joomla 1.5.9
JomSocial 1.1.145
JFBConnect 2.1.2

I appreciate all of your help !

Thank you,

Eddie

We've only seen this in a few limited cases, and have implemented fixes for them in the past.

Can you log into the back-end area and go to "Help->System Info". Then click into the "PHP Settings" tab. Look for the section with "Curl" and report back if you have something different than the below:

curl
cURL support enabled
cURL Information libcurl/7.12.1 OpenSSL/0.9.7a zlib/1.2.1.2 libidn/0.5.6

If it's disabled, can you look for the setting "allow_url_fopen" and report it's setting? That's our fallback, and if both are disabled, you may have to work with your service provider/technical support to enable one or the other.

Finally I'm assuming fields import correctly?

Let us know what you find!

I just logged in on your site, and didn't see the standared "Your account has been imported" notice. Can you check that in the JFBConnect configuration, under the "JomSocial Integration" tab that both "Enable JomSocial Integration:" and "Import Avatar Upon Registration:" are set to "Yes"?

If so, you may need to send some admin credentials to login to the backend of your site because something strange is going on.

I just had another look at the " Jomsocial Integration" section of the component and noticed that these 2 features were set to NO. <!-- s:? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_confused.gif" alt=":?" title="Confused" /><!-- s:? --> . The way the text was breaking, it appeared the radio button was set to YES !

Sorry about the troubles. Everything seems to work perfectly ! Great work !!

Am i able to pull more fields from facebook to mimic the fields i have within my registration process.. " School, Year Graduated.. "

Thanks,

Eddie
