Hello,

I configured my Facebook app according to the configuration guide and set up both the canvas and page tab settings, but I'm getting an error 403 page in the page tab. It also says in jfbconnect configuration/page tab that none of the information, including my site URL, has been set, which is untrue. I double checked the app id and secret key, they are both correct. I did not set a reveal page id or enable a different template. I'm using admin tools web application firewall, is it possible there are some settings there I need to disable?

Thanks,
Anne

Anne,
JFBConnect has been tested with multiple security products, including Admin Tools. However, every configuration is different. We'd definitely recommend disabling the firewall, temporarily, to see if it works properly. That's a great way to narrow down where the problem lies and will help us determine a solution quicker. Please let us know how that test goes.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

I disabled the CSRF function (which was on basic), and now the facebook page tab is loading correctly. Unfortunately, jfbconnect configuration/page tab still says that none of the information, including my site URL, has been set. I can't find anything in the waf logs other than the facebook page load attempts.

Thanks,
Anne

Anne,
What does it say in the main Overview page area? Is your site url showing up properly in the top left Facebook Configuration Check area? Are there any red errors or other notices that may help diagnose the problem?

I'd still recommend disabling the Admin tools altogether, temporarily, just to eliminate them as the cause. If it still fails with that disabled, then we know that's not the problem. If it works, then it likely means we need to configure the security features a little differently.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

Does JFBConnect require cURL to function? It was disabled on my server by default and I enabled it for another component, and now all of my information is correct under configuration and the page tab/canvas settings. In any case, it's working now. Thank you for your help!

Yes, cURL is required for JFBConnect for us to communicate with Facebook's servers behind the scenes. If that wasn't functioning, it would explain a lot of different issues you could encounter.

Glad to hear it sounds like it's going now. If you need anything else, you know where to find us!
