Looking at the page you linked to, it looks like you have JomSocial's Facebook integration enabled. Please disable it. There should only be one extension trying to manager Facebook registrations at a time. That's likely the cause of any of the issues you're seeing.

Regarding Akeeba, that's a setting in their extension that will try to do a backup before any updates. It's not related to JFBConnect at all.

Hope that helps,
Alex

The problem seems to be with another component produced by the same author of Akeeba backup called Admin tools. The component is determining the login process of JFBconnect as being some type of bad behavior and blocking it(please view the error below). Also my Akeeba doesn't run a backup when installed any other component or plugins. Please Advise thank you

Richard,
We'll have to look into this a little further. We've used Admin Tools before, but haven't tested all their security options with JFBConnect recently, so it's definitely possible there's a problem there. JFBConnect/Facebook make a lot of weird requests that can look 'bad' to security things, but there's really not much we can do about the authentication process.

We're actually at Joomla Day Chicago this weekend with the developer of Admin Tools, so if i can, I'll try to pull him to the side to see if we can discuss some options to work together without having to disable the Admin Tools security functions.

Thanks for pointing this out, and we'll try to have a solution as quick as possible, but it may take a few days. Until then, disabling any firewall/security settings in AdminTools may be the only short-term solution.

Alex

his webpage is not available
The connection to www.facebook.com was interrupted.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this webpage later.
Check your Internet connection. Restart any router, modem, or other network devices you may be using.
Add Google Chrome as a permitted program in your firewall's or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted program, try deleting it from the list of permitted programs and adding it again.

Richard,
I'm very, very sorry for the delayed response. We'll be all over this issue going forward to get you going.

I just looked through a few different pages, and the HTML looks right.. no obvious problems. It took me a minute to find the JFBCLogin Module. When I tried to login, I got to a 500 error page when trying to load something from JFBConnect.

Can you try a few things:
1) If you have any profile plugins installed, make sure that the corresponding component actually installed too. (Don't enable the K2 profile plugin if you don't have K2).
2) I'm assuming you're integrating with JomSocial. Please try disabling that (or any other profile plugins) temporarily, and see if you still get the error.
3) If it goes away (my guess is it will), try re-enabling the JomSocial profile plugin and disabling the avatar import - this has caused problems in the past.
4) If the above doesn't work, please try forcing all the permission requests in the "Permissions" tab. Right now, it seems like the email and post to wall permission are required, but data permissions for profile integration are optional. This requires an extra request to Facebook, and could be the problem.

Hope that gets you started. Obviously, none of the above should be required, so if you have to disable something, let us know.. and we'll figure out how to re-enable it.. but first we need to narrow things down.

Again, sorry for the delay, but we'll get you going,
Alex
