So far so good. However, I want my modules login redirection to actually work. Does it not override the configuration set on the main component? I thought this would have.

This s what I tried: I also turned off the redirect options on the main page (set to "no") which once logged in will keep the use on the same page. Then i set the module "redirect login url" to a specific page, but even after facebook login on that specific module, it does not redirect to the started url set in that module.

Please help

The login redirection that's set in the module is used whenever a user logs in using their normal Joomla credentials. The component's login redirect is used when the user logs in through Facebook.. whether it's through the JFBCLogin module, or through the use of the {JFBCLogin} tag.

Hope that explains. There's no current way to have different redirects per module or page. You can use the component's setting to leave the user on the current page though, if that helps.

Good luck,
Alex

Thanks....that explains it. great support. A suggestion feature will be to allow the component to set default login and logout actions for the facebook and the joomla login/logout. But allow the modules to do the same. Set log in/log out redirection for each.

We definitely shoot for the best support you can find :)

Never had that request before, but I added it to our task list to look into for a future release. Can't make any guarantees when it would make it in.. I hope you're happy with the current solution. If not, we may be able to help you hack some changes in to make some different redirects, but I honestly don't know how difficult it would be off-hand.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello Alex,

We can close this post. My suggestion is only for consideration. I saw that functionality in another facebook login module and wanted to use the same process. I was able to change the process around some to make it work.

I am experience some other issues but I will search and/or open a new forum topic. Thanks for your help.

Jason
