Topic-icon Getting an error on JFConnect Configuration.

I installed 3.2.2 and followed the steps for doing JFConnect Setup instructions and went back and updated and verified the Site URL and Domain as the message says. I also verified that the email address was the same with no leading or trailing spaces. However, I can't get past the attached message.

When I turned on the Front End Errors, I got: " Facebook API Error: Invalid OAuth access token signature."

Any ideas?

thanks
Duane

Yeah, that's definitely not right. First, make sure that Site URL and Base URL's are setup correctly in the Facebook Developer app and that you've properly set the API Key, Secret Key, and App ID in the JFBConnect configuration area. You should also try enabling the "Disable SSL Certificate Validation:" setting in the Facebook API tab of the configuration area of JFBConnect.

Finally, if none of the above works, can you please post (or private message us) the URL to the front-end of your site? That may help us determine the cause. If we can't from that, we may need super admin credentials to investigate further.

Sorry for the troubles, but we'll get you fixed up!

It's your AppId. On the page you specify, it's showing as "Stratton Legacy". The API id is numerical, and should look like: 116488908376294 (that's ours)

While the page is pretty ugly right now, because Facebook is transitioning between an old app view and a new one, hopefully, the section at the bottom that describes where to get the AppId below will help:

Good luck,
Alex

Yes. It works not. I think I was thrown off because I had to enter that numeric value in two fields.
Thanks

Yeah, Facebook recently removed the API key. We still need something in that field for some specific reasons, but in the upcoming 4.0 release, the API Key field will be removed to avoid further confusion.

Glad to hear that got you going! If you need anything else, just let us know. Also, after you've used JFBConnect for a bit, please consider leaving a rating and review on the JED for JFBConnect and/or our support:

Best of luck to you and your site,
