That's an excellent question. Facebook is making a big push toward SSL compatibility across their extensions, but unfortunately, this looks to be a bug on their part.
I found a bug-submission to their system, and added a note that we're seeing it as well (along with an image of the problem on our demo site). This is the best we can do right now though, as the 'innards' of that module is controlled by Facebook and we don't have any control over it. The bug report is below:
