I would like to allow visitors to my website to sign on using their Facebook user name and password. If they have never logged into my site before, a Joomla user record should be created in the background. I don't want to bother the visitor with creating a new password for my site. ( This is already how the "Authentication - Gmail" plugin works. If someone has an existing gmail account, they can log into my site using their gmail user name and password. ) When I tried the JFBConnect Joomla extensions, the user was asked to create a Joomla account ( or tie an existing Joomla user) to their facebook account. I would like to avoid asking the user these questions and have things work more like the "Authentication - Gmail" plugin.

Is this possible with JFBConnect?

Thanks,
Sarah

There are two methods that JFBConnect can be configured for how users are created. It all depends on how the setting "Create New Users" is set:
1) YES - users are asked to create a username/password and all that jazz
2) NO - users function like the gmail plugin you talk about (no username/password required). This will still import their profile data into JS and CB as you'd want.

That should cover all your needs. Good luck, hope this helps.
