I seem to have a very specific problem but first let me say I am VERY impressed with your app. It is the first one that I've looked at of this type that does what it says on the tin but I have a very specific problem that I can’t seem to get around. I have a registered page (www.redtreestudio.ie/index.php?option=co...le&id=639&Itemid=333) and when you clink on the link you should end up at the Joomla login page. Enter your details and you get access to it. With the FB Login, I get access to the site (I know this because I can access other registered parts of the site like the galleries) but when I click on the link to take me to this one registered competition page it taken to some sort of 'loop' where it forces me to log out and then log back in using the Joomla login page before allowing me access to the site.

To test, go to www.redtreestudio.ie and make yourself an account with the FB Plugin then click on the banner on the home page (where you are redirected to) that says Monthly Competition. Because you are logged in with the FB Plugin you should go straight through to the competition bit.

Let me know if you have any thoughts.

Thanks,
Carl.

Carl,
What browser are you using? I just registered on the site and did exactly what you said (clicked Monthly Competition) and was taken directly to the right page (I see like 4 items I can vote for and the current counts). I also, then, tried logging out and back in again a few times, and each time hitting the Monthly Competition.

I did the initial registration and testing in Chrome. I then came back to the site in Firefox and logged in, and things worked normal then too. Both using Mac OS.

Can you try closing your browser to clear the cache and see if that improves things? Otherwise, try a different browser or computer. No clue why that would be happening, and obviously, it shouldn't. If it continues though, let us know and we can test more.. but any information about your computer/browser setup will help.

Finally, thanks for the compliments on JFBConnect. We always love to hear from our happy users... even when they're reporting an issue :)

Thanks for the testing... I'm using IE9 on W764Bit.

I have a suspition it is somthing to do with tokens and cache (either in the browser or the site). I think it is getting confused somhow or not passing the 'Ive logged in bit to the next page'... I'll keep testing a bit furhter.

It went live on our FaceBook site earlier and fourty odd new users have signed up and logged in so I assume it is working, it may just be an IE9 tweak thing.

I'll let you know how I get on.

Carl.

Carl,
Definitely keep us posted. We can test later on with IE9 on your site. We do perform testing with the whole range of IE browsers, but IE9 gets the least testing right now (still under 1% of all browsers). There shouldn't be any issues, but always like to be ahead of these things.

Best of luck to you and your site, and let us know if there's anything else we can help with,
Alex
