I am developing a site, www.scorpionwear.com/hdwp. It was going smoothly until I installed the JFB component. now, there are two issues. I would like some help with them please.

Where my Virtuemart show cart module is I get this error "Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home2/xxxxxx/public_html/hdwp/plugins/system/ATShareVirtuemart.php:151) in /home2/xxxxxx/public_html/hdwp/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/classes/ps_session.php on line 68"

Issue 2, I just want the "login with facebook" module, but on at least the homepage I get the "add a comment, etc" box. I know this is minor, but I can't see where to remove it. I got the module to work fine for me.

Issue 3, When you do try to login, you get this error: "We were unable to retrieve your Facebook account information. Please try again" I am logged in and it even shows on the main page under the add a comment section.

Issue 4, secondary pages kick out errors too.

Thanks for any help I can get. I pm'd somebody earlier about this too, so sorry if you read twice.

1) I'm not sure, in all honesty. Both of those error seem to be coming from other plugins ATShareVirtuemart and Virtuemart itself. Can you try turning off the ATShareVirtuemart plugin and see if that fixes the issue, at least temporarily? Also, have you made any modifications to Virtuemart itself, and what version of it are you using?

2) In the Social Configuration area of JFBConnect, there are tabs for the Content Plugin - Comments and Content Plugin - Likes. You can select where these will automatically show here (or disable them altogether).

3/4) We'll need a link to your page to be able to diagnose these errors further. Can you post it here (or private message it to me) so we can take a look?

Thanks,
Alex

Sorry, just saw the link in the post above. Looking at your site, something strange is going on. If you look at the HTML on the page, there are 2 html and body sections on the page. In both sections, JFBConnect is detecting the body tag and inserting the Facebook Javascript API link.

I don't know what could be causing this, but it's obviously not right.. and likely going to cause a lot of issues for your site for SEO and other purposes and could easily be what's causing the Facebook authentication problems. I'd disable the plugin mentioned above, or the JFBCSystem plugins (or anything else you can think might be doubling the html and body tags at the bottom) to see what's causing it, and then we can fix things from there.

Hope that helps get you started.

Okay, progress...
I disabled the FB sharing on VM plugin and that error message went away. Good. I also fixed the duplicate html, etc. That was a JCE error, actually bug, caused by installing the full page plugin for JCE. Fixed that, so no more duplicate HTML.

But still can't login with Facebook.

Definitely progress :)

I just hit the Login with Facebook button, filled out my VM profile and successfully logged in. I then logged out and logged back in using Facebook without issue.

Can you help clarify what message you're seeing now, and possibly try with a new Facebook account (or delete the Joomla user and/or Facebook mapping in the Usermap area to that user) and try again? It's possible when you tried to register/login before with the wonkiness of a double HTML may have just caused some weird issues...

Hopefully, you're good to go now, but if not, just let us know what's happening, and we'll help you get to the bottom of it! :)

My email is not even a user on this site. I logged out of Facebook, and then tried to log into the site. Got the same error.

Also, what do you recommend for sharing product across social media then if that plugin screws things up?

Just thought of something. It doesn't have anything to do with my email being associated with the actual FB app I created, does it? I hope not for testing purposes

Can you try closing your browser entirely (or even try a different browser). When you logged in before, a cookie was likely stored on your computer that may have been incorrect because of the problems. A new browser, or clearing the cache by closing down and starting up again, will hopefully fix the issue. Again, worked fine for me.. you should be able to check my users (sourcecoast) and see that everything came across correctly.

Finally, no, has nothing to do with the user that created the application. Any Facebook user should work without any problems.

Keep me posted on what you find,
Alex

I see that you logged in. That gives me hope. However, I cleared my cache, and tried on FF, IE and Chrome. All the same result

*update* I tried my wife's account, and that worked. So, it looks like it is just mine for now. I wish I knew how to fix that so I could do testing with it.

*sidenote* Do you want me to open a different thread to ask about the social sharing of VM products?
