rayllson,
Please create a new topic for your issue, as it actually sounds different than the one posted here. It will also help to keep these issues separated, as we're (hopefully) almost finished fixing dirthog up.

Also, when requesting support, please post from the account you subscribed from. Priority support is for subscribers only.

Thanks,
Alex

It seems to be working now. I am out of town connected to a different ISP so maybe it was some sort of cache issue.
Thanks for your help with this.

I had the same issue and got it solved with this thread. However I have an additional question.

Is it normal that I can only hide a message or ban the user and not simply delete the message?

Dirthog,
Very glad to hear it's working for you. Hopefully, all the cache will clear up soon and everything will be running smoothly for you going forward.

Kwindo,
Glad you got your issue solved. As for hiding comments, when you do that, you aren't completely deleting the comment. It will be hidden for you and all your visitors on your site. However, since comments are posted to a user's wall, when you hide it on your site, it will still be on their wall. So, as an admin, you can decide what's shown on your site, but don't have control over what others say and show up on their own walls.

Hope that makes sense, and explains why Facebook doesn't call it delete.. essentially, it is deleted from your site though.

Alex

Yes, that makes sense. Thanks!

One thing might be worth mentioning. I haven't been able to find my Facebook ID. I found some pages explaining you can find the ID in a photo's url but that doesn't seem to be the case. Maybe I missed something but I think Facebook made it impossible for users to see their ID.

They do seem to be removing really obvious ways to find your ID, but the way we've always done it, that's always worked is:
* Log into Facebook
* In the top left, to the right of your avatar is your Name and "Edit My Profile".
* Hover over your name, you'll see at the end of the link id=12345. That's your Facebook Id.

Hope that helps!

I'm sorry to say but that also doesn't give me an id. The link is formatted like this www.facebook.be/myusername

Not sure then. I noticed that when I went to update my avatar, the links for Edit Thumbnail and Remove Picture both have the id in it. May want to try that.

I also just remembered that if you've mapped your user to your site, you can get your ID in the UserMap tab of the JFBConnect admin area.

Hope that helps!

Yep, I found it in the User Map tap. Of cource after I check every link on Facebook :-p

Aparently if you brouws your pictures on Facebook there is something like this in the picture's url: "set=a.xxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxxxxxx.xxxxxxxxx". The number after the last dot is the Facebook ID. Until they also change that ;-)

Easyest way is in the User Map for JFBConnect users.

I think I'm all out of questions now. Everything seems to work really nicely. I have never used a component that has such an impact on my site's traffic. Thanks for your support!

Kwindo,
That's great to hear that it's helping your site out, and yes, adding Facebook integration (depending on the site) can do wonders!

Since you mentioned it's impact, I feel I must ask you to consider leaving a rating and review on the Joomla Extension Directory. Letting others know how the component, or our support, has been for you and your site really helps us out:
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/social-...ook-integration/7215

Anyways, best of luck to you, and, should you come up with more questions, you know where to find us!
Alex
