hello,
just a simple question:
I tried the fan box and everything is displayed in english. I couldn't find a language file for that - where can I change the strings to german ?

The text should change based on the language of your site. However, it will only change the Facebook-specific text, not user's names, or the posts if you have it set to show your stream.

I just tried setting the language to de_DE on our demo site, and the Fanbox then had the following text:

SourceCoast auf Facebook
Gefällt mir Dir gefällt das.

If you're not seeing the same at the top, let us know the page it's on, and we'll do what we can to help!

thanks alex,
I think that something's wrong at my dev site. There also other jfb modules are now at english - but at my main site (which is important) eveything's ok ;-)

So probably while testing other new extensions, changing and so on I did something wrong - but okay - things happen ^^
I saw that a new version of jfbc is out - but the changelog doesn't tell me much abou the invite module... you said that there are big plans for next release, but I guess these are not implemented right now - or am I wrong?

one thing for fan module: is there a way I can style it a bit? haven't found a css...

my best, alex

On your dev site, open up the html and look for 'all.js'. That's Facebook's Javascript library. Before the all.js in the URL should be the language of the library that's being included, and that's set by your Joomla language setting. The all.js file should only be loaded once, by JFBConnect. If you find it multiple times on the page, and with multiple languages, that's the problem.

The new invite module is still in planning. There's a few other features that need to be implemented first, but hopefully, we'll be devoting some time to it for the 4.0 release in July. Generally, when we say the 'next' release, it's either a minor (3.x) or major (4.0) release. The release that just came out (3.2.2/3.3.1) was a bug-fix/minor-feature release which we do about every month to clear out any issues we can or implement minor new features from Facebook (like the Send button in this latest release). Just writing that out, I can see how that's confusing :)

Hope that all helps, but if you have other questions, just let us know!
