Sigal,
The way we show the Invite module on the demo site (
shown here
) is by doing the following:
1) Create an article like "Invite your friends to our site" and put some content in there to describe why they should invite their friends, or welcoming them to your site.
2) Create a new menu item of type "Content - Article View". Set the article in the right to be the article you created in step 1
3) Configure the JFBCInvite module to show up in the Menu Item
Then, on new user registration (in JFBConnect), you can set this menu item to be the one to show.
The same steps can work for any of the modules. The other modules also have the ability to put in {JFBCRecommendations} (or any of the other tags) into the article itself, so you don't even need step 3 above. The JFBCInvite module does not have the tag capability yet.
As for recognizing users, my guess is simply that you 'connected' your existing Joomla account to your Facebook account. This can be done when you register through Facebook and fill out the left-side of the registration form (logging in with an existing user) -or- if you're logged in through Joomla and you click the Reconnect facebook button. In either case, we'll associate your Joomla account with the Facebook account, even if the email addresses don't match.
For CB registration, make sure that you've enabled "Skip CB Activation" in the JFBConnect profile plugin as well.
Hope that helps!
