Hi,
I just installed JFBConnect for Joomla 1.5.

The only components I wish to use are the Comments and the Like plugins.

I have them working but I can't see the "Administrate comments" link under the Comments plugin
in the front end.

Any Ideas?

Andy.

Try adding the following in the JFBConnect administration area. Go to Social and click on the Open Graph tab. Make sure Open Graph integration is enabled, and in the big box add:
app_id=181566341894152
That's your application ID, and it will tell Facebook that any Comment boxes on your page can be administered by any admins of the apps. Alternatively, you can use the admins=xxxx, yyyy value to specify a few Facebook users who are moderators on your site.

Facebook used to automatically make comments moderatable by the admins of the page, but they seemed to change it recently to force that key above. We'll be automatically inserting it in future releases.

Hope that helps, and let us know if you need anything else!

Great to hear! Should you need anything else, just let us know.

Also, if you continue using JFBConnect, please consider leaving a rating and review on the Joomla Extension Directory. It's certainly not required, but very appreciated:

Thanks, and good luck with your site!

Hi,

I tried to register with Joomla.org to write a glowing report about your software and service.

I was met with "Sorry, the registration failed. It appears you are trying to register from a known IP address for spammers or fraudulent voting schemes.ww.xxx.yyy.zzz listed on stopforumspam.com"

I have never spammed a forum. I have hardly even been on a forum.

I hope they are sorry for inconveniencing both of us.

Regards,
Andy.

Andy,
Well that's strange. I'm sure they have a lot of checks against IPs, and you may have just been caught in the snare. Ironically, the Joomla Extension Directory just added JFBConnect (!!) to it's login area. You may be able to create an account and log in that way. We're very excited that they added it, obviously, and would certainly love your review.

Also, make sure you're trying to register at extensions.joomla.org, and not forum.joomla.org as those are separate sites.

If you're tired of trying, we completely understand. No problem, and thanks again for your support!
