That should be what you need to do. Either method works, but I think we recommend the 'false' flag instead of 0. I'm assuming you're using the latest versions of JFBConnect, if not, please let us know what version of the component and System plugin you're using. You can find this on the JFBConnect Admin Overview page.

Things to test are:
1) Turn off the JFBCSystem plugin. Then, look at your page. You should see the {} tag you've inserted. Make sure it looks how it should, with show_faces=false. If not, try to determine what's wrong.
2) Try changing the layout_style to box_count or button_count. These modes don't allow faces to be shown, which will be a good test.
3) Check the settings for the Content Plugin - Like button, configured in the Social tab of JFBConnect. It's possible that this is what's inserting the Like button into your articles, and your module/tag simply isn't being inserted properly.

Those are the best suggestions I have off the top of my head. Hope this helps, but if not, let us know, and we'll investigate further.

Thanks!

Hello Alex,
i tried all of your suggestions one by one , but unfortunately I am not able to solve this issue

even with "button-count" layout setting I still see faces!

the sintax I am using currently is : {JFBCLike show_faces=false layout=box_count}

as you can see on this page:
alkemica.net/it/contenuti/articoli/Utent...-quotidiano/2-Itemid

faces are still there...
let me now if you need superadmin access to investigate,

Thanks

Niccolò

Niccolò,
I have no clue why that's happening like you say, and really don't have any other suggestions. Please private message a set of super admin credentials, and we'll get to the bottom of the issue quickly.

Please also specify exactly where you're adding the {JFBCLike...} tag so we know where to look.

Thanks,
Alex

Niccolò,
Thanks for the PM. I have a few other things I'd like to get info about. In the PM, you mention that you added the Like tag to one of the template files. Can you let me know which one so I can look at it? Also, I'll need to install a file manager, like extPlorer to be able to see and modify the template file where you made the change.

One other thing I hadn't mentioned is trying to create a Custom HTML module and putting the tag that you're using in the template file directly in there. That will help narrow down if the tag is simply acting up in the template file. Also, if it doesn't work there, then we may not have to install extPlorer at all.

If you could test that way and let us know, and what module you did the change in, that will help us get to the bottom of things faster.

Thanks again for your patience,
Alex

Hello,
I have done as you suggested above, but I still have the same issue. The module is being displaied on the homepage directly below the login module.
the module name is "facebook like tag" , module ID is 164

the template file path where I have inserted the tag is :
/public_html/components/com_resource/views/article/tmpl/default_article_alkemica_articoli_2.php

feel free to install extPlorer if you need it.

Niccolò

Niccolò,
We found the problem. You still had the JFBCSocial plugin installed and published. This should have been uninstalled automatically when you installed JFBConnect 3.2. Not sure why it wasn't, but in the future, definitely make sure you install the component, instead of just unzipping the files into the right directories.

Either way, you should be good to go now. If you run into anything else, just let us know.

As always, please consider leaving a rating and review on the Joomla Extension Directory. It's certainly not required, but very appreciated:

Thanks,
Alex
