I have a problem with the login and "merge to facebook" settings.
login:
when a user logs in with facebook everything is fine, login button disappears.
but when logging into as a regular user there's always a message: merge to facebook...
while I have the login in the header such a "message" is not fitting my side.
the function itself ofcourse is really nice - jomsocial has this as well in standard at the "edit profile" pages.
so I need a way to put the merge message to the profile page and let everything else disappear from my header.

after my first test I can say:
your login is much better than jomsocial. your invite is much better than jomsocial.
But I would wish to have a better integration (enhancement of jomsocial plug). There are facebook things included and everybody knows them and their places - like invite facebook friends at global invite page or the merge account thing at edit profile pages. It would be nice if your plugin can handle this so we need no customization at our end - this would be perfect.

of course a plugin which handles this would be the best - but for everyone who wants to have the "familiar" way jomsocial displays this here's a workaround how I did this.
1) create a custom module only with {JFBCLogin} inside - this will only show the login and not all the unneeded rest.
2) set the usual jfbclogin module to registered and select the edit profile pages from jomsocial only. this will give you the merge account message where it was before (known by jomsocial)

hope this helps someone ;-)

Hey Alex,
Really, really love the feedback your giving. While we integrate with JomSocial and do some things better (especially for single-sign on and profile import), we realize there are other areas we could be more 'like them' as to what they do. Since we don't use JomSocial day-in and day-out, we don't always know exactly how user's have used their Facebook integration before (and what they miss about it when moving to JFBConnect).

I've added a tracker item to our to-do list to investigate a few points where we could auto-insert some code into their templates so that you don't have to do what you mentioned above. The {JFBCLogin} tag does give a ton of flexibility for these things, without having to wrap your head around complex code. Glad it helped here.

Thanks again for your post. We have a JomSocial integration guide (not easily findable, in my opinion, but that will be fixed too), that we'll likely add your workaround to for the time being.

Alex
