I definitely see what you mean, but we don't have that ability to selectively set where it's shown. We'll definitely keep this in mind for the future, and I've taken a note to update the Social Plugin configuration to use a Top/Bottom/Both option instead of Yes/No for each one. This should actually clean things up a little in that area, and give more options, which is always a good thing.
We appreciate the suggestion, and hope you can wait a bit. Adding the code to the existing file would be quite a few lines of code, I think, so I'm not gonna offer that right now. If you really can't live with it just at the top or bottom, for now, let us know, and we'll see what we can do.
