There's not a known issue that we know of. Have you changed any settings in your Facebook Application recently? Do you know if your hosting provider updated anything with your configuration? You can try disabling SSL verification in the Facebook API settings area of JFBConnect, but I honestly don't think that will fix the issue.
When we've heard of this issue in the past, it's usually a hosting problem where the provider can no longer reach
api.facebook.com (or a few other hosts) which we need to be able to access. This can be due to an overzealous firewall, a mis-configured PHP or Apache installation, or numerous other things.
