When a user clicks on the Login Button:

If not already logged into facebook: the facebook login window comes up, credentials are put in and it goes straight to the New User/Registered user page...skipping the permissions page

If already logged into facebook: Clicking the button takes you directly to the New User/Registered User page...also skipping the permissions page.

Any ideas?

No, that's very abnormal. The only reason the permissions page should ever be skipped is if the user has already approved your application.

If that doesn't seem like what's happening, please post (or Private Message me) your URL. I'd like to take a look and see what's happening.

Thanks!

I have been testing with 2-3 facebook accounts...logging in, then deleting the user in Joomla...then trying agian. I am assuming it must be a cache issue?...maybe? I tried in a different browser and the permission dialog box did come up. So, for now I think I am ok. I'll let you know.

Thank you for all your help. This is a wonderful addition to my site. Thank you.

Ahh.. I see where the confusion is coming from. Deleting the user from Joomla doesn't revoke the application approval in Facebook. Therefore, if you use that same user again, they'll just need to enter their credentials but the permissions will be skipped (they already granted approval for your Facebook application).

If you want to see the permissions dialog again, you'll need to delete the approval for that application from your user's Facebook account:
- In Facebook, click Account Settings -> Privacy Settings
- In the bottom left of this page, hit "Edit Your Settings" under "Apps and Websites"
- In there, you can delete the approval given to any application.
Once done, you'll get the permissions pop-up when you return to the site and try to login or register through JFBConnect.

Hope that helps you test, and good luck!
