Invite friends was created by wggdm
Alex,
When a facebook user come to the site and hits Login in through facebook. First screen appears allowing facebook permissions, second screen appears allowing posting on wall. When you hit allow, you get the 500 error message appears. When that user goes closes out the screen and logs back into the site and hits login in through facebook, the invite friends screen comes up (Yeah). After you invite a friend the Preview your message comes up on top of the friends screen. You can't read it because it is down the bottom and the screen is locked. You can't get out. We are so close. Thanking you in advance.

Hey there, sorry I didn't get back to this sooner. Can you please delete our user account on your site so we can test the registration process again? Also, if you have it, can you post the URL for the page that gets the 500 error? That may be all we need to figure out what's going on.

Regarding the Invite friends module, the Preview screen came up fine for me. I hit the Send Invites button, and was redirected to the following page:
www.downticketdems.com/thankyou
That page threw an error about an article not existing though. You should update the Thank You url in the module to go to a valid location.

As for the screen being 'locked', can you explain that some more?

Alex,
1. I deleted you. You should be good to go.
2.Here is the url for the error message-http://downticketdems.com/publish_stream/lw==/1096147118/loginfacebookuser
3. I don't know what you mean about the url going to a valid location. I see the url that you posted in the back end module.
4. Regarding the lock screen. When you invite friends, the preview your message comes up on top of your friends and you can't click on it because it off the page. The only way to get out is to log off.

Lastly, I would like your thoughts about completely disabling Community Builder. It doesn't make sense to have it now because my registered users can't leave comments unless they log in through facebook. Every user is on facebook. So CB registration is pointless. If you think this is a good option for me please tell me how to go about it.
Thanking you in advance.

I just registered on the site, was sent to the welcome-facebook-user page with the invite module, and the following was posted on my wall:
Just joined DownTicketDems (http//DownTicketDems.com)

3) Yes, that URL is in the parameters, but that URL isn't working in Joomla. You need to paste a valid URL in there.
4) When I hit the invite button, the window properly expands. It does require that Javascript is enabled, and we're using Chrome. Please test again on the page and see if it's expanding for you. If not, let us know what browser you're using.

As for disabling CB, I think it's fine. To disable CB, you simply should delete any menu items that point to it, and disable the JFBConnect CB plugin. If everything seems fine (may want to give it a few days to test), you should be able to uninstall CB altogether using the Install/Uninstall area of Joomla. We'd highly recommend you have a backup first, just in case.

Alex,
I am so sorry that I am such a newbie.
#3- I don't know what a valid URL is? What should be in that spot?
#4- I am also using Chrome.
#5- For now I disabled the CB login. If there is no log in form. You have to login in with facebook.
All my best,
wggdm

Really no problem asking questions. Feel free to ask anything you want.
3) Valid URL. The URL I pasted above simply doesn't work. If you click it: www.downticketdems.com/thankyou it goes to a 404 error saying that the article doesn't exist. Check the Menu Manager for the menu item for the "Thank You" page and assign an article that exists (or is published) on your site. That should make that link work. Alternatively, just put www.downticketdems.com as the Thank You URL to redirect users to the home page after they invite their friends
4) When I hit the Invite button and select friends, the shot below is what I get. It does shove the right side-bar over a little, but unfortunately, this is how it has to work to get around some limitations in Facebook's Invite module:
File Attachment:

If you're getting something different, please do a hard-refresh (CTRL-R) and see if it still happens. If it continues, if you can, send us a screen shot. Basically, when the Confirmation box appears, it should be cut-off for a second or so, but the whole invite module should resize itself to expose the whole invitation module.

Thanks, and good luck!
