Hi Alex,

What's the correct syntax for adding a list of admins to the Open Graph?

I ask because they are prefaced with fb:admin instead of og:site

Hope that makes sense.

Cheers,

Rich

Same way as the other tags. If we detect that you're setting the special "admins" or "app_id" tags, we'll use fb instead of og. We got you covered :)

Generally though, the fb tags are only required (as far as we know) if you want additional administrators that aren't already part of your application. That's because we're already initializing the Facebook Javascript API with your application ID, which means that those users should have admin rights already. Hope that makes sense.. doesn't hurt to re-add the tags, but shouldn't be necessary for 'normal' administration.

Let us know if you have anything else you need to know!

Yes but...for commenting, I have admins of pages that are not admins of the Application. Make sense? And thanks!

Yup, makes perfect sense, and just what the tags are good for then. The above should do it for you! Let us know if you run into issues.

Also, if you use JFBConnect (and love it), feel free to leave a rating and review on the JED. It's not required, but certainly helps. If you already have, thanks!

I think I already have but I'll check. Also seems that you can add comment moderators from within facebook itself. In the comment moderation area.

Yeah, pretty sure you can add them from within Facebook, but the method I outlined above should work too. Again, multiple ways to accomplish the same task.. whatever works for you.

Definitely let us know if it works. We did test the inclusion of the tag, but actually didn't test Facebook response/usage of that tag.. so if you find you can't moderate with the included users, let us know and we'll put it through the ringer ;)
