Topic-icon "User Map" not created and "JUser::_load: User does not exist"

When users FB users connect using JFB they get an error "JUser::_load: User does not exist" right away.
I also check on the JFB backend and there is no "User Map" created for any user. This results in no avatar being imported (which is one of the main reasons I purchased this product).
Does anyone else have this problem? I have it set so nothing is imported except the avatar on FB. I'm also using Jomsocial. Does that have anything to do with it?
Thanks for help.

There's a few things that could be the cause, we'll take it step by step, and hopefully one will do it. If not, let us know and we'll help you more. Obviously, that behavior is not right :)
1) Ensure you have the JFBConnect Authentication Plugin published
2) Ensure you have the JFBConnect User Plugin published
3) Make sure the JFBConnect User plugin is ordered after/higher than the Joomla User plugin
4) In JomSocial, make sure the API/Secret keys are blank in the Facebook Connect configuration tab

I think the first 3 are probably your problem, but #4 is always something to check on. If none of those work, please post your URL (you can private message it as well), so we can take a look at the front-end of the site. Many times we can find the problem from there too (no admin credentials needed).

Thanks, and good luck!

#3 is the issue:
Change it so User - Joomla = 0 and User - JFBConnect = 1
That should fix you up, but if not, let us know!

It's always hard to describe what's necessary there. We can't wait for version 3.2 as the ordering requirement will no longer be... required! For more information on 3.2, feel free to check out our sneak peek:

Nope, not you at all. Like I said, it's tough to describe 'higher', because when you look at it.. higher can be visual or numerical. Tough to explain. Again, very excited about 3.2 so we don't have ever try to figure out the best terminology for this again :)

Glad everything is hopefully setup and working like a charm now. Should you have any other questions or issues, you know where to find us!

After you've tinkered with JFBConnect a bit, please consider leaving a quick review on the Joomla Extension Directory. It's certainly not required, but definitely appreciated:

Thanks,
Alex

Vartan,
The ordering requirement of the plugins was removed in JFBConnect 3.2, so that's no longer an issue.

If you're not seeing the mapping occur between your user and their Facebook account, please make sure that the JFBConnect component, user plugin, authentication plugin, and system plugin are all the latest version. You can do this easily on the JFBConnect overview page in the admin area. Also, make sure all 4 of those are published (there should be a green check next to it).

If all of that is correct, please post (or private message) a link to your site, and we can look at the front-end to see if there's any obvious configuration issues.

Thanks,
Alex

Ahh. Yeah, that is a problem. Facebook has to make calls back to your site, and if it's offline, those calls won't work.

Thanks for letting us know what the issue was!
