User mapping was created by wggdm
Alex,
When someone registers on my site with CB the only required fields are as follows;
email
user name
gender
year of birth
state
In the user manager, the "user name" appears as the "name" and "user name".

In the overview/profiles, I have the 3 settings set to "yes". I am not quite sure I can even map CB to Facebook so I did the following
First name - contact -email
Middle name - basic info- Sex (Male/Female)
Location - basic info- Current location
Thoughts?
Thanking you in advance.

Unfortunately, for now, required fields must be mapped to. If you don't (or can't), the user won't be able to be saved in Community Builder and will cause problems.

In the 3.2 release coming soon, we have an option to show any required, but not mapped, fields on the Login/Register page. That should fix your issue when it comes out. Hopefully, you can wait till then, but in the meantime, you'll need to mark those fields as not required.

Thanks, and good luck!

Alex,
Does that mean that I want to check "no" for the following;
Always import profile date?
Skip CB activation:

Should all fields be changed to "none".
Looking forward to 3.2. I t is going to be awesome!

You'd still want Yes for Import Profile Data, and (likely) Yes for Skip CB activation. What you can't have is any fields in Community Builder marked as 'required'. Simply set those fields to not required.

We're excited about 3.2 as well.. testing, testing, and more testing is going on right now. We just put up a sneak peek about it, feel free to check out (some) of the new features.. including the additional registration fields:

Also, now that you've used JFBConnect a bit, if you'd like to leave a review for us on the Joomla Extension Directory, we'd appreciate it.. though of course it's not necessary:

Thanks, and good luck!

Alex,
I am still a bit confused. In the profiles/community builder drop down menu there is no option labeled "not required". I only see "none". Am I in the wrong place?
Thanking you in advance.

Yes, you are looking in the wrong spot. :)

You should be in the Community Builder component configuration itself, not JFBConnect. In there, go to the Field Manager, and make sure that no fields in there are set to required that (in JFBConnect) aren't being mapped too. In there, you should see the whole list of different fields that a user's profile has (some in their profile, some hidden, and other types of fields). These fields can't be marked as required, for now, if they aren't being imported into from Facebook because CB won't let us save the user to the database if they're marked that way.

Hope that all makes sense, but if not, we'll send some pictures that should make it more clear. Best wishes!
