Alex,
I was able to get the "Log in with Facebook" & "Connect with facebook" buttons to appear on the front page. Unfortunately neither are operational? Everything in the Plug Manager and Module Manager is enabled but I must have missed something? Thoughts? Thanking you in advance.

Can you post a link to the page with the buttons? That will help us diagnose the problem quickly.

Thanks!

Bizrusonline,
The problem you're having is that Facebook's Javascript doesn't seem to be initialized correctly. The block of code that should be doing this is on the page, but something seems to be interfering with it. I tried a different template, and it still works, so it's not that.

When I look at the like-box you have on the right side, it appears to be using the JFBCLike module, but it's adding different code than I would expect. Can you try unpublishing this module, temporarily, and see if that fixes the issue? If so, did you change that module's code in any way?

If that doesn't make any difference, let me know. Also, if you have a development site we can test on with an admin account, that may help. If wddgm posts his page, that may help come up with a common problem (and solution) for both of you too.

Thanks!

wggdm,
You're problem is a little more obvious. On your site, if you look at the HTML code and search for 'fb.init', you'll see it comes up twice. The 2nd time is ours, and you can see your Application ID in the code right after it. The first time is not us, and there's no Application ID. This is confusing Facebook as the Javascript library is being loaded twice, and one of the times is not identifying itself.

It looks to be MyAPI that you're trying to use, but not sure. MyAPI and JFBConnect are not compatible as they both try to do the same things in very different ways. Please disable MyAPI (even if temporarily) to see if that fixes your issue, and then we can go from there.

Thanks!

Hi Alex,

Thanks alot for your response. I can tell you that i did not add anything to the code. I unpublished the JCBLike Module as instructed and bang! the login to facebook worked alright. I do not have a test environment. Can you send me your personal email please so I send you the details for the live site (I'm sure I can trsut you with it)?

Thanks

Bizrus,
Yes, you can trust us with your credentials, but good guys and bad guys would both say that, so it doesn't mean much :)

What I'd recommend instead though, is the following:
1) Re-Install the JFBCLike module - This will overwrite any changes that may have been made. From what I saw, they shouldn't be necessary and we're causing problems anyways.
2) Edit any instances of the JFBCLike module, check that the "Intro Text" box is blank. Hit save. This will clear out anything that shouldn't have been in that box, just in case that's where the change was.
Test.
3) If it still doesn't work, look and see if the following directory exists: /templates/ja_mesolite/html/mod_jfbclike
If so, delete it. It's ok :)

Finally, if none of that works, then feel free to Private Message us some admin credentials to your site and we'll figure it out for you. You can PM me by clicking the arrow under my name (<----) and hitting the mail icon.

Good luck, and glad we narrowed it down!
