Hey there,

I'm running K2 2.4.1, JFBC 3.1.2 and Joomla 1.5.22.

How do I import more data from users FB profiles? I already asked permission to gain access to LIKES, Friend counts, etc. But I don't see any way to import these or to map them to K2.

I've tried adding the extended User Fields plug-in to K2, I've tried creating Extra Fields & Extra Field Groups that correspond to Facebook fields to no avail. What am I missing? Anyone else out there configure JFBC to import full profile data into your database? What are you using and how are you configuring it?

Many thanks!

Currently, JFBConnect only allows importing of most text based information from a user's profile along with their Avatar.

Where would you like the "Likes" and "Friend Counts" to go to? It will help us figure out how we should look into adding these types of profile information for import in a new release. Basically, would you just want a field in K2 that would be "Facebook Friend Count" that would have the users total number of friends on Facebook to display? Same with Likes. Since these will be a list of URLs or internal FB Ids for URLS (and can be in the hundreds or thousands), what should we do with this information?

From a development standpoint, we've avoided some of these extra permissions because to come up with a generic way that every administrator can use them can be tough.. however, we can see where in special cases, accessing this information can be valuable. It may require a developer to implement some of the features that you're looking for though.

Hope this helps explain our position, and if you could explain more of what you're looking to do, that will help us narrow down a possible solution!

I'm launching a fitness video subscription site. In addition to our unique (self-produced) content, we are also hosting local meetups in zip codes, or at stores, or events where we see a significant likelihood of expanding our user base and selling our content.

The ability to see what else our users like, where they live, and how many friends they have plays a huge role in who we approach to help us host events, where we focus our attention, and what companies we pursue joint marketing ventures with. (we're just a two man operation)

On the Profile Mapping tab for K2, I'd like to be able to add additional fields to map that additional data to, because then I can run diagnostics like what %of my customers like XX, or what % of free users live near XX zip code. We also have an email newsletter, and the ability to cross reference FB likes and locations with email open & click through rates, is hugely valuable as we look to grow our subscriber base.

Even if your developer could help me figure out a way to "hack" these additional fields so that they show up on the profile mapping tab, I would be immensely grateful. I'm kinda a noob at php, so any assistance at all is hugely appreciated!

By the way, mad props on the quick reply... I love JFBC, and the quick response from you cinches it!
