When I enable the JFBCLogin module and attempt to register as a new user and create a profile, it authenticates perfectly, but it automatically defaults to the DefaultProfileType set in the JSPT settings. It does not allow me to choose which profile I want to create as it does when using the JS login module. I've looked all over the place to no avail....is this possible with JFBConnect or no?

Thanks!

It's not currently possible to set a default profile type to be used with JSPT within JFBConnect. We're hoping to have a profile plugin for JSPT with the 3.2 release (due in March). This plugin would be similar to our JomSocial one, or integrated into it possibly, and will let you specify what group the user should be made a member of when they join.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for the feedback!

I just purchased this product and like the modules and plugins, but the lack of this feature brings my project to a grinding halt. Any idea what part of March this 3.2 (which includes this functionality) release will be?

We don't give specific dates for release because things change frequently in the Facebook space, which sometimes causes delays. My best guess right now though is mid March at the earliest though.

Sorry for the troubles. If this doesn't work for you, we do offer a 30-day money back guarantee. I know that's not what you're looking for, and you'd rather have the features you desire, but I don't want to lead you astray with promises that might not be fulfilled immediately. If we get something working sooner, that's compatible with 3.1, we'll post here and let you know (we'd love to have a tester), but right now.. we don't.

Thanks,
Alex

3.2 is in the final testing stages right now. It does not have the JSPT or JomSocial group feature built in, but it's something we're planning on upgrading shortly after release. We didn't get it in because there's a ton of other features already being changed around in the plugins and we didn't want to complicate matters more. We're sorry for the inconvenience, but are hoping to get the group feature integrated in April.

Thanks

Not yet, we've been focused on the Joomla 1.6 compatible release, due out this weekend. The next steps after that's out are upgrades for the JomSocial profile plugin to add JomSocial groups and the JSPT groups (if installed).

Sorry for the delay. When we're working on this, we may ask for some testers, as we aren't super familiar with JSPT. If you have specific features that you're looking for, other than setting the default group for a user in JSPT, please let us know.. now's the time for requests!

The advantage of JSTP is multi profile. So i prefer that if user signs up with facebook he/she gets an option to choose the right profile type
Not just put the user in a default group
