Can I Limit The Number Of Automatic Facebook Wall Postings?

We don't have any way built into do it. However, Facebook usually will deny a status update that's the same as the last update, so it shouldn't keep posting the same thing to their account unless they're posting their own updates in between. That still doesn't make it perfect, but may help.

As for other suggestions to keep the postings to a minimum, you may want to set the session timeout for Joomla to something higher than 15 minutes. We usually use about 2 hours on our site (though you may want less), but 15 minutes can cause a lot of logging in and automatic logging off.
