Our facebook app looks more like a facebook (cr)app

If you're talking about an actual Canvas app hosted on Facebook.com, there's only so much I can help you with those. We're much more focused on the Facebook Connect aspect of integration with your site. I know that (like any language) the canvas' are very picky about code, so parsing errors can be pesky, and disastrous.
