Hi. I followed the configuration guide and everything seems to be working well except it's not posting the status update on Facebook. I have that option set to yes and have text in the New User status message. What am I missing?

Also, once a new user has connected through FB and then registered for the joomla account, there is a connect button that shows up, asking if they want to connect the two accounts. How can I make that automatic? That button is easily missed and we want the process to be as easy a possible.

Howdy,
Both issues are almost always caused by the ordering of the user plugin. If you look at the JFBConnect Overview page, in the "Required Extensions" area, there is likely a warning showing up there. Please ensure the JFBConnect - User plugin is ordered higher (and not equal) to the Joomla user plugin. Once a user registers through Facebook/JFBConnect, the "Connect this account" button shouldn't appear.

Hi Alex. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I was confused by "ordered higher," thinking that meant higher in the list (as in above the other one) not a higher/bigger order number (that makes it actually go lower in the list). Yeah, kinda confused. But I got it now.

You're not the only one. We're actually going to be putting an even more glaring warning with a (hopefully better) explanation in (we hope) v3.2. We've worded that message about 6 different ways, put a big note in the config guide, and done lots of other things. However, we understand where the confusion comes from, and, for being a subscriber, you can ask any question you want! Thank you!

P.S. I'm assuming your issue is fixed now?
