I don't think you're missing anything, but I'm also not exactly sure what you mean. For the short code you used, was it { JFBCLogin}? There isn't one for {fb connect.. so just want to make sure I know what you mean. If you do use the tag though, everything should operate the exact same as if you just use the module by itself.

Finally, on the homepage you link to, I can only see the JFBCLogin module itself, not the tag that should just show the blue button. If there's a specific page that the button is on, I can test there. I just registered on the home page using Firefox and had no issues.

Let us know if this helps or rings any bells.

Thanks!

Hi, thanks for the quick response...
it seems like its working ok, we just need to check today on various browsers

we are using this tag { JFBCLogin}

I have a question, when you login as a normal user, you are presented with a FB button which allows to connect your account...is there a short code for this option.

We are currently using the K2 login.

There isn't a short-code for that option, yet. We're working on updating the Login tag to allow for enabling a logout button (when logged in) and will likely have the Reconnect as an option as well.

Thanks for the suggestion, and let us know if you run into any other issues!

We're working on an update for the logout option for the 3.2 release. If all goes well, that should be early next month, but we don't announce release dates too far ahead of time.

Hope this helps, and best of luck. Glad to hear everything's working well now.

How do we keep notified about your updates ? or do you let all subscription users know when there is an update ?

We actually failed a bit with the 3.1 release, and still haven't sent out a newsletter.. we're actually planning to send it out this weekend or early next week. That's usually the best way to stay informed (by being a subscriber, you're on the list, you can unsubscribe when the mail comes). The other option is to subscribe to follow our blog:
Blog: www.sourcecoast.com/blog
RSS Feed: feeds.sourcecoast.com/sourcecoast-blog

We normally wait about 1 week after the initial release of a new feature release/point-release version (3.1, 3.2) to send out big notices about the update. This gives us time to get feedback from users on any big issues that we may have missed during testing. For bug fix releases (3.1.1, 3.1.2), unless there's a critical issue that affects all users (security, Facebook change), we don't send out email blasts. In that case, if you're running into a problem, we recommend checking the JFBConnect Overview page in your admin area to see if you're running the latest, or check these forums.

If you have any suggestions on how to communicate better, we're all ears. We don't want to abuse our users with every minor change (as things are updated frequently for, in many cases, obscure bugs) that only affect a few users, while at the same time, not wanting our subscribers to feel that we've forgotten about them.

I prefer the newsletter if we are subscribed
rss, we follow too many and its difficult keeping up...

major and minor releases would be appreciated, maybe you should have 2 newsletter lists, one you send out to customers who want all notifiction, ie heavy list and one that is a light list...

hope this helps
