We actually failed a bit with the 3.1 release, and still haven't sent out a newsletter.. we're actually planning to send it out this weekend or early next week. That's usually the best way to stay informed (by being a subscriber, you're on the list, you can unsubscribe when the mail comes). The other option is to subscribe to follow our blog:
Blog: www.sourcecoast.com/blog
RSS Feed: feeds.sourcecoast.com/sourcecoast-blog
We normally wait about 1 week after the initial release of a new feature release/point-release version (3.1, 3.2) to send out big notices about the update. This gives us time to get feedback from users on any big issues that we may have missed during testing. For bug fix releases (3.1.1, 3.1.2), unless there's a critical issue that affects all users (security, Facebook change), we don't send out email blasts. In that case, if you're running into a problem, we recommend checking the JFBConnect Overview page in your admin area to see if you're running the latest, or check these forums.
If you have any suggestions on how to communicate better, we're all ears. We don't want to abuse our users with every minor change (as things are updated frequently for, in many cases, obscure bugs) that only affect a few users, while at the same time, not wanting our subscribers to feel that we've forgotten about them.
