Hi,

I just installed your component and want to integrate it in my site. I enabled the login module on the bottom of our testsite:
www.filmering.at/Joomla15/

When you try to connect via Firefox it works perfect, but in Chrome the Facebook popup opens and when I grant access I only see a white layer.... The funny thing is this: I tried to use the JomSocial Facebook Connect and it has exactly the same behaivor (works on Firefox, blank layer on IE and Chrome) - I thought it is a problem with the JomSocial componenent, thats why I purchased your component. Maybe you could help me to solve this problem...

Regards Michaeo

I just tried to register on the site using Chrome. The pop-up came and went as expected, and I created my account as expected (and my avatar imported into JS without issue). That's not to say your crazy, just wanted to let you know it worked form.

There's a few ideas I can have you try, but not exactly sure of the problem.
1) If you open the HTML of any of your pages, and search for all.js, you'll see it in multiple places. This is the FB Javascript that needs to be included for much of the functionality to work. It's possible that the inclusion of this script multiple times is a problem. If you can, try disabling some of the Fanbox's or other widgets and see if you can log in normally then. If so, feel free to try the modules we include with JFBConnect as a replacement. We only include the all.js file once on a page.
2) If you have jReviews Facebook integration enabled, try disabling that. jReviews looks to be including the en_US version of all.js, whereas JFBConnect is detecting your site's language and including de_DE. Again, this may not be the problem, but try it out and see.
3) Finally, try from another computer and if possible, from another Facebook account, to see what happens.

Let us know if anything about helps or not. We'll help you investigate it further, once we know how the above plays out. Again, it worked for us, but we understand that everyone can experience things differently, so we'll help you get to the bottom of it!

I dont really know whats going on... Jreviews Facebook services ar deaktivated, the other Facebook script is also not the problem (when I deactivate it, the problem still occurs.... Before I complete delete it, I want to verify, that everything works....).... For me it looks like this on chrome:
File Attachment:

Maybe there is something wrong with my Facebook account - but why does it work in Firefox? Maybe a problem with my Google Chrome? I tried it on Ubuntu and Win 7....

bkill453, can you post your URL so we can have another site to look at to see if there's a common denominator to the problem?

Michael, unfortunately, I still don't have any smoking gun. I agree with not deleting the other scripts, unpublishing and testing them should be just fine. When you log into this site or the demo site, I'm assuming you're not having this same issue.

Some other things to try:
* Another Facebook account
* Delete the Usermapping row in the JFBConnect UserMap area (in the admin section) for the user you're trying to log in with. This should be automatically recreated when you log in again if you're using the "Automatically map by email" setting.

Finally, I'd love it if bkill453 and you could try logging into each others' site to see if you encounter the same problems. I hope that's not an annoying request (you may not want random people signing in), but it could help narrow down the issue some more

Sorry for the troubles, we'll help get to the bottom of it.

Hi, ok, again here is my link:
www.filmering.at/Joomla15/

The Module is now on the top of the site. If bkill could post his site, I can try it... Some updates from my site:

- Here on sourcecoast I can login with the same Google Chrome and Facebook account, that produces the error on my site.
- On my android mobilephone with the standard mobile chrome browser the facebook login works.
- On firefox the login works.
- On IE8/IE7 the login works.

- On Opera 10.63 it doesnt work - same behaivor as Google Chrome
- On Google Chrome 8 it doesnt work.

Tried Opera and Google Chrome with two different Facebook Accounts (one of the two is not in use)....

Hi there, I seem to be having the same issue on Chrome. And I get a blank XD Proxy popup. Funny thing is, I get the same issue when using the "Connect with Facebook" on your site. Just got it a minute back when I tried logging in to post this. Firefox works with no issues. Any ideas? I don't have any javascript errors on my site. The development server is at xpz.darkbrownandyellow.net - just move your mouse over the "Sign in / Register with Facebook" link on the top right.

Thanks!

@dbycreative:
I just tried the Facebook Connect on your site with my Google Chrome, and it worke fine! I didnt finished the registration process (fill in the user data), but the connection to my Facebook account and the redirection worked for me.

Whats interesting:
When I use the Facebook Connect on my site, then close XD Proxy Popup and the press F5 two (!!!) times I am logged in... Really strange... Because I really dont know whats going on (two times F5? Never seen before...)... But it always works. Tried it a few times. Now we just have to figure out what the problem is....

Off Topic:
I have another suggestion: When I connected my Facebook account with the Sourcecoast site, the plugin wrote a piece of text on my profile.... I know that you can change this behaivor on the backend, but in my opinion it is just a big NO-GO. On Facebook it looks like I have written this text, and I didnt even got notified, that you wrote something (from MY Account with MY name on MY wall just for YOUR advertising).... This really annoyed me.

Apologies for that. It wasn't intentional. I was testing out the various settings. The site isn't even on its live url yet. In any case, there should be a prompt for the user to choose if he wants his status updated. By the way, the double F5 trick doesnt seem to work for me. wonder why.
