Just purchased this yesterday and the login module does not log a user in (when using Joomla login) when trying to connect via IE7 / IE8. Works fine in FF3 and Chrome. Please assist as soon as you can.

Can you post your site URL or something else for us to test with and see how JFBConnect is configured? Usually just seeing the page helps us diagnose most problems.

Another thing to check for is that you have the JFBConnect - System plugin enabled. It fixes a few issues with IE, but I honestly don't think it will be the solution for you.

Thanks

Thanks Alex.

I've been trouble shooting and for some reason looks like my newer PC an HP will not allow IE sign in, but my year old Dell works fine in IE, the same for Safari via iPhone. So looks like its just my computer... will follow-up on the forum if any other issues result.

Hi,
I have the same problem.
Chrom and FF works great, IE8 have problem logging in.

If you go to icoupononline.com
click "Sign In"
Enter your username and password and click "Login"

For IE8, it ignores the login process and go back to the "Login" screen,
Chrome and FF is OK.
Thanks,
Jimmy

Jimmy,
It seems like the user's issue above was solved due his computer problems. Hopefully that's the solution for you too. If not, and you have an active subscription on a different account, please post from that user. The support forums are for active subscribers only.

Finally, we just released v3.1 of JFBConnect. I'm not sure what version your using, but you may have better results with the newer version.

Thanks,
Alex

I am having the same issues as the "pinesystem" user, I noticed that on our website using IE 8 and Jomsocial that no one can login anymore. The problem is only occurring with IE 8, and our website is a production site so we are getting a large number of customer service complaints regarding this. Our site is www.icoupononline.com, and you can check out the issue if you would like.

Our subscription just expired but we can get a new one to apply the upgrade if you think it will solve the problem. At this point we would just like to narrow down if this is the root of the problem, and solve it.

We truly appreciate the help, and will await your response on this issue. All the best!

Having the same problem.

ie 8 on windows xp : click on fb login which pop's up. then you enter details and submit. the popup then goes blank. if you you close pop up and refresh page the facebook credentials don't load into website.

ie 8 on windows vista: login works, but it does not reload the parent page. so if you manually reload the page it shows "successfull login etc".

everything works fine in ff.

Would be great to smooth this out. many thanks

We're investigating, and trying to recreate, the issue. We'll let you know what we find.

Can you let us know if you're experiencing the same problem on this, or our demo site (sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/demo)? That will help us localize the issue as well.

Thanks for your patience.

Hi,

thanks for the quick reply. test this forum login which gave the same results. i also tried the demo site which showed the permission page after fb login and then went blank. after closing the popup and refreshing the demo page i was not logged into the site.

Another point i would like to add is that if a fb user is logged into fb main site and then opens another tab on ff/ie and then try's to register with say the demo site the popup will be blank. you then have to log out of fb and then retry fb connect to register with e.g. demo site. i don't know if this is a fb bug or an over-site on the developers behalf.

Many thanks
