Hi, as promised I bought the extension, however, I'm having difficulties getting it to work, so not sure what I've done wrong. I followed your steps re configuration.

If I go through Firefox, the button doesn't work at all when you click it, if I go through IE, the button works, but hangs for a long time after which it gives a message about a 100 times, saying "logging into facebok", after which another message comes up about 100 times, saying "E_NOCONNECT_Facebook" or something to this effect.

My site address is www.cuesportfever.com/new and the module is under events on the main menu.

Your help would be much appreciated... Thanks.

This usually occurs when the Authentication plugin is not enabled. Additionally, make sure you've followed the instructions on the plugin page of the configuration guide, below. On the JFBConnect Overview page in the admin area, there should be 3 green checks next to the Required Extensions (User, Authentication, and Login).
www.sourcecoast.com/extensions/jfbconnec...ration-guide?start=2

As for looking at the page, I'm not seeing JFBConnect enabled. If you can set it up on a test page somewhere that I can see it in action, that may help narrow down the cause if the above doesn't work.

Thanks for the prompt response.. I have checked those plugins, and they were enable already. Did you check on my events page? Here is the link: www.cuesportfever.com/new/index.php?opti...tmode=cal&Itemid=208.

K, nevermind, I think I figured it out, I had myapi plugins enabled. After deleting all of them it seems to work in Firefox, haven't test IE yet, but if there is an issue, I'll let you know. Thanks again.. cool extension!

Ah, glad to hear it, we were just looking into it further. Yes, you generally can only use one extension for authentication, and MyAPI also uses the older Facebook library (I think that's still the case), which is very incompatible with Facebook's newer version.

Thanks for saying "cool extension". Put a smile on my face. If you need anything else, just let us know!

Hey no worries, it's great work!

Don't wanna sound like a nag, but I installed 2 of the plugins which I want for the site, one being the content plugin with which I'm having 2 small issues:
1. The like button comes up twice when I click on the article.
2. All the fb goodies are at the top of the article, is there no way of putting it at the bottom after they have read the article? Not sure if this is theme dependant or plugin?

Once again, much appreciated.

Both answers involve settings in the JFBConnect Content plugin, so go edit that, and check these settings.
1) For 2 like buttons, my guess is that the Comment box's like button is also enabled. Facebook includes a Like button on the comment box, and we give you the ability to disable it by setting the "Show Comments Like Box" in the module to "hide".

2) Also in the content plugin settings is the option of "Comment Position" and "Like Position". It defaults to top, but try bottom.

If these settings are as expected, and it's still not working, let us know, we'll figure it out :)
