JFBCOnnect 3.03 is no longer working was created by fb_1762154193

Joomla 1.5.5 is the version of Joomla and JFBConnect 3.03

I uninstalled the component and reinstalled it and still I cannot get it to work. It was working all the time until I enabled the LIKE BUTTON plugin and module. So I disabled both of them and still I cannot get it to work.

Problems:
I've set it to autologin and it does not automatically log me in when I am logged into facebook
I've set it not to redirect and it still does

So I uninstalled, went into PhPAdmin and dropped the two tables that stores the pertinent data and manually removed the module in Joomla admin. THEN, I uninstalled the component AGAIN. I purged Joomla cache (and just in case on my PC itself I fluhsed DNS) and I reinstalled and I reconfigured (particularly fb application stuff) and still it does not work.

Help? I really need this up and running

Have you ensured that the JFBC Authentication and JFBC User plugins are both installed and enabled? Thats usually the cause of a failed login and/or redirection.

I'm not sure why the Like button would cause a failure. However, I'd highly recommend upgrading your Joomla version. 1.5.5 is extremely old, and there have been numerous (serious) security fixes since that release, as well as many improvements. We don't explicitly state it, but we generally guide users to be at least at version 1.5.11, which is still over a year old.

Finally, as a quick test, I just tried to log in and was able to successfully register through Facebook on your site. Not sure if you're still having issues, but either way, the advice above is still very recommended.
