My guess is that you have another, separate, plugin from JFBConnect which is redirecting 'special' users somewhere else. There's a few of them out there, but I don't know which off-hand you may (if you are) using. Also, do are you integrating with another social extension like JomSocial, Kunena, or Community Builder? If so, that may help us narrow it down.
