Importing email address from facebook

Phone numbers and full addresses is coming in the 3.1 release. When we transitioned to the Graph API from Facebook in the 3.0 release, there were some fields like those that were a bit harder to access. We've overcome that with the upcoming release, and will be able to import those soon. Importing birthdays into 'date' fields of CB was a big request as well, that will be full-filled.

As for the primary email address, we'll add that to our list. I don't know about the field off-hand, sadly, but it should be easy to add as well. I've added it to our tracker.

Wow, sorry I didn't realize I hadn't responded to this thread. I opened it up because I was looking at the primaryemailaddress request, and had another question. We don't currently let you import into the primary email field because that field is the main Joomla user's email field. In the next version, we will have an option called "Email Field on Registration", which, if set will show the email field during registration (if you have Full User Creation setup, not Facebook Users Only). If it's set to 'no', then the email address will simply be set to what the Facebook user's email address is.

I think this will do what you're looking for, but need to make sure that I'm not missing something. If you have any suggestions or comments on this, let us know.

As for 3.1, we're obviously still working on it. It's a bit delayed, but there's quite a few changes in it, so we don't want to let it out till we consider it done and it's been tested extensively. This should be 'soon'.
