sorry for i know this is a common issue, about avatar importation but searching the forum no answered post gave me solution for my problem.. create a new user, activating correctly, importing data with no problems.. filling fields..requiered one prefilled with default value let all go right.. avatar missing.
other integreations (kunena)are disabled and on login i get this message:
There was an issue importing your Facebook avatar. The default avatar will be used.

can anybody help me solving this problem?

NON apache virtual server, we run on nginx, don't have ftp enabled.. (in case it may be of any interest..)

Usually when we see this error, it's due to the /images or /image/comprofiler directory not being writeable or set to the appropriate user permissions (whatever user Apache is run under).

Can you check that those directories seem correct (if you need help, let us know). FTP status shouldn't matter.

There's been a few other cases where some odd configuration settings have caused this, but in those cases, other profile information wasn't imported as well. Hopefully the above will be the quick solution to your problem.

We stand corrected. There was an issue with JFBConnect we discovered earlier today related to avatar importing. Please upgrade to version 3.0.3 which fixes this issue. We just sent out a newsletter notifying all users of the problem as well.

Sorry for the inconvenience. This issue cropped up this morning when Facebook made a change on their end.
