Topic-icon Somethings off here and needs urgent fix

I'm bumping this thread because it is driving me insane!!

When I use 2.6 it works just fine, but I need the functionality of 3.0.2!!!!
I keep getting "We were unable to retrieve your Facebook account information. Please try again" and that is even on your own demo site.

My privacy settings on Facebook are set to everyone, so there must be something off on your part of the component, plugin or whatever.

Can you pleaaaase look into this, because I'm tired of using the Jomsocial FB login that doesn't work as supposed, gives wrong birthday info, about me's etc.

Definitely good of you to bump the thread. I remember the request, but obviously, we didn't come up with a solution. Apologies for the delay.

Our demo site is using 3.0.2, and when I look at your FB profile and your JomSocial profile, I'm seeing that they match up. I don't really want to paste both links here (even if they are fully public info), but I'll put your activities, which in both is:

Can you try updating your activities, even just slightly, and log into the demo site? Even if you get the "Can't get your information" error, if it updates, that will help us track down the issue. Let us know the results.

Finally, could you send us a link to your site that isn't working? I looked through the other thread and couldn't find it. We have a few FB accounts that are set up in known ways that have failed in the past. Would like to test on your site to see if we can catch something obvious. If you want to Private Message us the URL (so it's not public) that's fine.

I changed it to "klagen en zagen"

Can you try logging into the Demo site now? I'm still seeing your activities as the 'old' value, but it's also saying the last time you logged in was 234 days ago.

If you can't log in, let us know. Just want to see if this works on the demo site at all, as that will help us to narrow down the issue.

We really didn't change anything on the demo site. Can you test on the other sites that are causing problems to see if it's still an issue? It's possible it was something with your Facebook profile that wasn't happy, and Facebook fixed it on their end.

We really have never heard this issue from any other user, so it seems very specific to your account. We definitely want to get to the bottom of whatever the cause is, but don't know what we can do on our end.

Let us know how further testing goes with other sites and/or accounts!
