James,
Just wanted to let you know that 3.0.0 was just uploaded and is available now. Unfortunately, in this release we were not able to get a fix for your issue. I would still suggest upgrading as there are plenty of minor fixes and new features that are worth having. However, once you do upgrade, please let us know and we'll re-patch the one issue on your site. It's not a solution that works for everyone, but we'll figure that out and get something into the next release.

Upgrading to 3.0.0 involves unintalling and reinstalling the component along with any of the social modules/plugins you may be using. All current settings will remain, but you should go through the settings again as there are a few new ones. We'll be making the upgrade process easier in the future as well :)

Just wanted to let you know status. If you have questions or concerns, you know where to find us!

Just noticed you mentioned that invites weren't being sent. Sorry I missed that before. The permissions have nothing to do with invites, so that's not related at all.

In most cases where users think they aren't being sent, they actually are. They, unfortunately, do not show up in the top right area of Facebook with a red flag. They actually show up in the right sidebar in a separate 'notification' area. It's a poor design choice by Facebook, but we have no control over this. If your trying to send to emails directly, Facebook will send them to it's own users if it knows they have an account. If they don't have an account, they should get a real email inviting them to your site.

Hopefully this covers all bases about invites. If you're still not receiving them, let us know and we'll figure it out.
