Alex,
I wrote this earlier, but I don't know if you caught it. I hate to post the same thing in a different thread but the last thread may have read as being more about the Invite feature. However, I'm having a problem with login to my site through facebook. It is on this site WordSaladPoetryMagazine.com/
It seems that now, when I try to login with my facebook username/pw it says "Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet." When I do login to the administrator area, I see my name there. So, I did connect it with facebook at some point.
Maybe an issue was that I had a different email address on facebook than I had on the site and I was already registered with the site. Could that be a problem? If my email on facebook is This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and I had previously set up my account with a username of This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
How do I fix this issue? Can you look at it from the administrator area? I still have your account setup with your username being your name with a space between first and last name, with caps on first and last name, and the password I had setup earlier.
This has frustrated me for a while and I'd like to resolve the issue. I know that some people have accounts already on the system which might be with different emails than they use on facebook. I don't know if that is a problem or not.

Also, if the comments extension that you have on the site is buggy, can you recommend another one that works well... until you come out with the next version of JBConnect that will incorporate this? Will I be eligible for the upgrade when it comes out? When will that be?
Bruce

There shouldn't be a problem with the above, however, you'd likely be creating 2 separate Joomla accounts (depending on how JFBConnect's "Create New Users" setting is configured). If it's set to "Yes", when they log in through Facebook for the first time, they'll be prompted to create a new Joomla account or associate it to an existing one. If it's "No", they'll simply have a new Joomla account created for them with a username of fb_xxxxx and their FB email address. I'm pretty sure (would have to check), that if the setting is "No", they can log into your site with their existing Joomla account and THEN log in through Facebook to automatically associate the accounts.

Let me know what situation you're in and we can help you diagnose and configure it how you'd like it to work.
