We have discussed this (both you & I and Melissa & I). For showing the social networks, we have the Social Networks menu which shows which accounts the user has authenticated with. I understand and agree that showing it on the User page could be a benefit, but we wouldn't show GDPR or other user information. It's something on our radar, but for now, the Social Networks menu item is the best we have for a user managing their connections.- to have a "jfbcsocials Joomla User custom" plugin is a nutural logical Joomla integration must have to show the connected socials into the User Profile. GDPR etc. require to make available to the Users all their informations and their management.
What kind of management do you envision doing this way? Can you explain what value you'd get by being able to see what accounts a user has authenticated with in the admin area? Just trying to understand what functionality is missing vs what we have now. I'll agree, the Usermap area isn't 'pretty', but making it pretty without a good functional reason isn't something we're likely to focus on.- the "jfbcsocials Joomla User custom" plugin in a Backend point of view would be the useful alterego of the User Map, where the plugin permit to the Administrator to see and manage the single User Social connections through a Backend User Profile Tab editing (per User view). While the User Map what permits is a recap of all the Socials connections (per Connections view).
While I agree, unfortunately, this isn't possible for many networks. Facebook and others have created "App Scoped Links" to profile pages, which means the links only work for logged in users (via Facebook). This is meant to prevent abuse for admins looking up user's profiles easily and there's not a way to get around this. Other networks have similar restrictions.- As I suggested for the User Map here: www.sourcecoast.com/forums/jfbconnect-9-...-app-athorized#68484 would be useful to have the Social Icons linked directly to the Socials Profiles.
Understood. This goes along with the initial question and I do see your point.- the simplifications discussed here: www.sourcecoast.com/forums/jfbconnect-9-...ge-etc?start=0#67985 should be included for a User Friendly experience
