Topic-icon JFBCLike works in Article layout but not category/blog layout

I have put JFBCLike in an article. Here's a link when that article is in Article layout:

northeastchurch.info/From-My-Heart-To-Yours/heroes.html

and in this layout, the Like button shows up just fine. However, here's a link for Category/Blog layout where the same article is at the top:

northeastchurch.info/From-My-Heart-To-Yours/

and in this layout, the Like button does not show up at all. Why is this?

My immediate guess is that in the configuration of the JFBCContent plugin, you don't have it specified to display in article views.

Just so you know, we just (as in about 2 hours ago), updated JFBConnect to version 3.2. This version has a much easier, and more configurable, way of automatically displaying the Like and Comment button in articles, and may be easier to use. We'd recommend you upgrade, but if you choose not too, the setting above will hopefully help you fix your current problem/question.

Good luck!

As far as I can tell, I do have the JFBCContent plugin configured correctly. I have attached a screenshot of the JFBCContent plugin parameters page.

I will try upgrading and see if that fixes the problem. Any suggestions in the meantime?

Looks like you upgraded to 3.2 and the comments are now appearing on that blog page.

Upgrading was a good move, in our opinion, and hopefully it went smoothly. If you have any other questions, let us know!

Yes, after upgrading the 3.2, everything is showing up as it is supposed to.

By the way, I really like the way you configure the JFBCContent plugin in 3.2 - very intuitive and easy to use. Thanks!

Great to hear it's working. The old way we had it in the plugin wasn't really our style.. we like "simple" and try to carry that through all of our extensions. Having to modify plugin parameters here, and component settings there definitely gets tedious.

It took a bit of effort to get it 'right' for this release, but think we hit our goals. Always like the pat on the back from our users too, thank you!

I will ask here...

2 x Like button (at the top + bottom).

Is it possible ?

Hi- Fixed the like button issue. I still don`t get why it disappeared but changing the module position solved the problem. THanks.

Idiel,
Great to hear (though I think you posted to the wrong topic) :)

Flash,
It is possible, but we don't have an option to do that automatically, unfortunately. We can help you with a little code to add that, and will add it as a task for a future release, because we agree, that's probably a good option to have Show At: Top / Bottom / Both

Let me know if you're up to get your hands a little wet, and we'll do what we can to help out!

Flash/Aleksandar (and all),
Just wanted to let you know that we just released v3.2.1 of JFBConnect. This was primarily a bug-fix release, but we also added 2 features you may be interested in:
1) Option to add Like button to top, bottom, or both positions of an article
2) Option to use the first image in an article as it's Open Graph image automatically

Hope you enjoy, and thanks for your feedback!
