Good day!

I have the Jfusion bridge for Joomla, phpBB and Moodle in my site. Using the Community Builder login, I was able to achieve a single sign in to all of the three softwares. However, when I use the JFBCLogin module, I can't achieve the single sign in for the softwares.

I was able to make it work for a while (I just can't remember the plugins deactivated and activated). I am also having troubles with the cookies (I think) when the combination is working. I get a "FORBIDDEN ACCESS" when I log in. I am running into an infinite loop.

Any suggestions? I really like your component and I hope I could make it work in my site. Thanks!

I don't know off hand, as we haven't tested with jFusion in a long time. My first suggestions would be to ensure that the JFBConnect User plugin is ordered before any jFusion user plugins. The same with the authentication plugin.

If that doesn't miraculously solve your issue, the next step would be to send us a link to your page so we can investigate further. It's likely we'll also need super admin access to debug the issue. If you have a development site to test on, that would be the best way for us to go about fixing the problem. You can PM the information to us using the arrow under my name and clicking the mail icon.

Thanks!

I upgraded my installation to JFBConnect 3.1 and now the login is more messed up than before. The facebook button does not work anymore (joomla can't use fb to login). API's are ok, the installation went well, plugins are activated as well. I also tried switching the sequences and still it doesn't work.

Any suggestions?

Are you using a template override for the login module? We updated the javascript calls that we make to JFBConnect, and realize we didn't note that in the upgrade guide. We've done that now. The changes come down to the Javascript that must be executed after a successful login or logout click.

For instructions, see the bottom of the top 3.1.x section:

Nope, I'm just using the default.

I tried disabling the CB Login module and just use the JFBC Login on the front page and I was able to log in. However, the single sign in of phpBB and Moodle is still not working. It seems that the issue on cookies is still there. I tried reordering the plugins but it is still not working. Maybe it has something to do with the Authentication-Joomla and User-Joomla plugins being diasbled by Jfusion.

Any suggestions?

Yes, we require the Joomla User plugin to set some things up for us to function. The JFBConnect authentication plugin logs the user in with their Facebook connection, but the User plugin is what configures the user's information, imports the profile, etc. As long as the jFusion User plugin does the same stuff, and is ordered above the JFBConnect User plugin (similar to how the Joomla user plugin needs to be ordered above), things should work. Again, that's not a mode we actively test.

I'll try to get onto the site tomorrow to debug with the credentials you sent. My biggest worry is that jFusion isn't something I'm super familiar with, so it may take some time to get to the bottom of the problem.

Ian,
Very sorry for the delay. I poked around your site a bit tonight. The first thing I noticed, and fixed, was that the JFBConnect User plugin was ordered before the Joomla User plugin. I fixed that, and then did some testing.

It wass strange what I was seeing, so maybe you can confirm some things. I registered multiple times and then would delete my account after changing some settings and registering again. In all cases, after registering, if I went to the "My Profile" link, Community Builder seemed to indicate that I wasn't approved and that I hadn't verified my email address. This was regardless of the "Skip CB Activation" setting in the JFBC profile plugin, which is supposed to automatically approve the user.

In all cases, my user did seem to be properly logged in and if I hit the Forum link, it would say "Logout [sourcecoast]", which indicates the bridge there was working properly. Also, when I deleted my account (in the Joomla User Manager), there was a notice that the PHPBB user was also being deleted.

So, it seems (to me) that the bridge portion is working. However, there is definitely an issue with CB. I notice you're using an older version of CB about 1.5 years old, I think), and it may be worth looking into upgrading that. I don't know if that will fix it though.

Some settings I tried to switch to fix the automatic activation (I undid these changes, but good to have note of what I tried):
* Removed the required field option from gender and school
* Turned off email confirmation (Joomla Configuration)
* Turned off Admin Approval Required (CB Configuration)

Again, sorry for the delay. I'll be focused more on this now that I've gotten in and seen the issue, and 3.1.2 is out, which fixes all known bugs for JFBConnect and frees us up a little more for these types of debug efforts.

Thanks!
