We just released v3.1.2 yesterday which may fix your problem. I can't tell exactly how it's failing on your site: whether you have 2 tags on the same page, and the 2nd isn't working; or a tag in a different module (than login), but a completely different page. Certainly try 3.1.2 and let us know if that changes what happens. If not, please post your URL so we can see what's actually happening on the page. That usually helps us diagnose problems pretty quickly.

Thanks!

Great to hear. Always like to know when things work out how we expect.. because, unfortunately, that's not always the case :)

Thanks, and good luck!

Hallo there,

I have a similar problem: The site at our staging server (where we test this) is at:
www.sintagewpareas.gr/

The problem (as above stated) is that when I click on the "login with facebook" button (it is located at the right column), I get nothing. A pop up window opens, but nothing happens.

The first time it asked for a username/pass for facebook, but even then, nothing happened.

Any insights into what I have setup wrong?

(Possibly relevant) info: I have both kunena and CB on that site, and I have installed both the plugins for that.

Thanks
Konstantinos

What browser are you using that it's failing on?

I just tried with Firefox, and was able to go through 2 permissions requests and then got to the JFBConnect login/register page. I then tried in IE, but the Facebook button is now missing. When I looked again in Firefox, it's missing too. I'm assuming you're changing settings now, so let us know if you find anything, and what browser you're using.

Also, if you aren't using Firefox, please try it to see if you get the same results. That will help us narrow down the cause.

Thanks!

Hi there,

I have tried both with FF and IE (before I report the issue). I got the same situation both times (aka: got asked for authorisation once, gave it, nothing happens, and then all times I tried nothing happens).
No, I havent been changing anything at all after my report here. So, the different beheaviors you saw were not caused by different settings on our side.

Given that this is a staging server (but a complete mirror of our live site), I wouldnt have a problem giving you (with some secure way though, not in the forum) access to it if you want to look further.

Be well,
Konstantinos

Sure, the credentials would definitely help. Please Private Message them to us. You can do so by clicking the arrow under my name (<

Koyan,
I just got into the admin area of your site. The first thing that I fixed was the ordering of the user plugins. Both the Joomla user and JFBConnect user plugins were ordered '0'. I simply updated the JFBConnect User plugin to be ordered '1'.

After this, using Firefox and IE, I clicked the blue button, registered a new user with each (2 different accounts), and didn't experience any problems.

Can you please test again. The user plugin shouldn't have any effect on the pop-ups though, so I'm not sure if this will have a positive effect. If not, please try from a different computer and let us know if you run into similar issues. Clearing browser cache or running in "private mode" mode may also help, in case there's an issue with cookies in your browser.

Please let us know what you find!
