Dear all,

i'm having trouble showing the social buttons in my site.
We have installed the latest version and we have Version: 6.2.3 of JFBConnect.

In the home page it is ok, but in the others menù selection from the top bar the login option, the pop-up will not show the buttons. Analysing the form with the firbug i didn't see any trace of the social.

Can you please take a look?
The site is www.cucina.it the problem in every menù item (www.cucina.it/ricette) for example

Cheers

I don't see an instance of the SCLogin module on your homepage, let alone any of the subpages. If you have disabled it, can you please re-enable it so I can look at the behavior please?

If you're referring to something other than the social network login buttons, please clarify.

I had to disable the module because it was messing up all the site. As soon as we login we get just blank pages on every menu item. And we have to disable the module to be able to see the site back.

Now it's active on the top bar of the home page of www.cucina.it even if selected in the settings we cannot see the social buttons in the login popup. And if we click on "Registrati", it just goes back on the home page. I've never seen such a messed up behaviour from an active module before. JFBConnect is correctly configured and working. The SCLogin module is messing up everyhting.

Just tell me if you need a Super Administrator user account to check it on the back end.

Thanks, Adriano

If you can PM the credentials, I would like to look at the SCLogin settings in the backend.

After a lot of searching, we found the problem. You're ireview template has an override for the layout of the SCLogin module which is not compatible with the latest version.

Please rename or remove any files from the following directory:
/templates/ireview3/html/mod_sclogin

That will then use the default files that were installed with the SCLogin module. That should fix most, if not all, of your issues. Definitely test and let us know how it goes after those files have been removed.

Thanks,
Melissa

Thanks a lot for helping! I renamed all the files in that directory and everything seems to work just fine now.

Just a question to better understand. Given that I don't remember adding those overrides, do you think it's something they did at Jreviews? Should we ask them to update them?

Thanks again,

Adriano

They likely did come with the template. It's worth asking Alejandro at jReviews if there's an updated version of the template that's compatible with the v4.2 release of the SCLogin module. There were some minor changes in that release to make overrides, themeing and custom social network login buttons a helluva lot easier to do. We tried for backward compatibility, but it's possible (likely?) we missed the mark on that one.

Glad to hear we got things going now.

Alex
