Hi,

I need to create the logout menu functionality as given in your website. Following are the steps that I am following.

1. I have created a menu User Menu -> Logout in my main menu and have given access to registered users only so that it is visible only after login.

2. I have made the SCLogin module's "Logout" button invisible.

3. My query is what should I give in my "Logout" link to achieve logout functionality. I read on couple on forums on sourcecoast.com to make an "External Link" and give link as "sclogout". But this is not working for me. Certainly, I am doing something wrong.

Please help.

Regards,
Dimple

If you want the Logout button to display in the User Menu that the SCLogin module displays, there's a trick to make it work. You need to go to the Joomla menu manager and create a new menu item as follows:
* Type: External URL
* Title: Whatever you want the menu item to display, e.g. "Logout"
* Link: sclogout - This is a special name that the SCLogin module will use to know you want a logout button.

As for the menu not displaying like your main menu, it likely won't. The User Menu option uses a Bootstrap Dropdown. If you want it to display like some other part of your site, you may need to add some extra CSS to your template to style the items how you want. If you need help, please create a test account so we can login and see the logout view (username: test, password: test is a good example) and let us know a URL we can test on.

We'll help however we can.

Thanks,
Alex

Glad to hear we could help. If you need anything else, please let us know. We'll gladly help however we can.

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for SCLogin, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It certainly isn't required, but is very appreciated:

Thanks,
