Hi,

Is there a way to force redirection from the default Joomla login plugin to a modal SCLogin when the guest attempts to view restricted items?

I have been researching for quite a while since yesterday but have not been successful. I see some prior posts regarding making the JFBL the default authentication handler but I would like to use a modal SCLogin.

I have copied the default-login.pnp file to the template directory as I read in another post on here; just not sure what to change.

Using Joomla v3.1.1, PHP 5.4.19.

That isn't something we support right now. Joomla doesn't have any way that we could hook into a link to check if it's registered and show the login popup immediately instead of performing the redirect. It would be a great feature, and is something we plan to investigate for a future release.

I wish there was a quick setting or line of code I could recommend changing for you, but it's just not that simple.

Thanks for the info. I actually just settled for a standard page rather than a modal and edited the default-login.php accordingly to suit my needs.
