Yesterday I updated to Joomla 3.8.7 and today I find I cannot login to the Joomla frontend using SClogin. No error is shown when you try to login. It just doesn't show the login message below the login button as it did before. I cleared all the caches and used both Firefox and Chrome with the same result. I also cleared the entire cache in Cloudflare. I just updated to SClogin 7.2.5 but that did not make a difference. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks

In researching, the same thing happened a year ago and the solution was that the login module had the wrong links which should be:
Registration: index.php?option=com_users&view=registration
Forgot:index.php?option=com_users&view=remind
Password reset: index.php?option=com_users&view=reset
How do add these in the SClogin module or do I do a hidden link to these in a menu. I can't remember what I did last time :(

You shouldn't need to change any links in the SCLogin module to make authentication work. The SCLogin module is fully tested with Joomla 3.8.7 and we haven't heard of any other issues like this. If you need to change URLs for some reason, it may be an htaccess rule or some SEF extension that's causing some problems.

Beyond that, I went to your site and couldn't find the SCLogin module anywhere to test with. Can you point out where I should be testing and we can gladly investigate further.

Thanks,
Alex

I had to go back to the standard login for now as people need to register for an upcoming hike.

Understood. If you can enable the SCLogin module, even on some interior page, that will help. With the SCLogin and the standard Joomla login module both enabled, it should be pretty easy to narrow down what's going wrong by comparing the two.

Thanks,
Alex
